I prefer not telling you my real name and if you know it then your fortunate to then. I go by the name of Hood Star and I reside in the town of West New York New Jersey. I was born in Jersey City Medical Center on June 25 1988. My parents are from El Salvador but I was born and raised here in the United States so I am Hispanic American. I decided to start rapping when I was about 13 but I really started to get into the music and take it serious just recently. I started writing freestyles with friend just for kicks, but soon people started to notice my raps had some meaning to what I was saying and that they where good so they encouraged me to give music a chance. I joined a group at the beginning of my music career but soon realized I was a solo artist because I felt confined with just having a small part in a song, I wanted more. Just recently in this year I have started a new Genre of music which is known as “Spanglish” rap which features Spanish mixed with English. I know if I keep up my work and continue to get better and have always a positive strive, I will do something big. My influences music wise have been Eminem, Dr Dre, D 12, Wu Tang Clan, Nas, Jay Z, The Diplomats, D Block, Kanye West, Benefit, Immortal Technique, and Etc.
